Land Breeze

Gentle wind

Blowing from LAND to OCEAN

5 - 10 miles out into the ocean

Occurs at night

Approximately 9pm - 3am

TEST QUESTION

* Why does a sea breeze move inland only 10 miles? *

ANSWER :

Cool air moves inland. By the time that the air gets 10 miles inland, the warm air heats up the cool air and then rises. (See Sea Breeze diagram you drew in class)
